Gerona Train Station

Located in the west of the Girona historic center on the R11 Medium Distance line in Catalonia, the Gerona Train station is a stop for trains running to the Talgo, Estrella, or Trenhotel Costa Brava apart from serving the regional lines. It is situated on the Barcelona-Portbou route. The station will have all subterranean tracks by the end of 2012. There is a large passenger building beneath the tracks and the Girona bus station is located just adjacent to it. Several services, commercial establishments operate from here. On the upper level, there are six tracks including two general, two siding, and two dead channels. It has three platforms and a freight station as well.
